Research Ethics and Consent
The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Engineering Research and Technology (IJMERT) expects authors to conduct and report their research in accordance with appropriate ethical standards and applicable laws, regulations and institutional requirements.
Ethical Approval
Where a study involves human participants, animals, personal data or other research activities requiring ethical review, authors should obtain approval from the appropriate institutional or recognised ethics committee before conducting the research.
Where applicable, the manuscript should provide relevant information about the ethics approval, including the name of the approving committee and approval or reference number.
Informed Consent
Research involving human participants should obtain appropriate informed consent before participation.
Where personal information, photographs, identifiable images or other potentially identifiable material is included in a manuscript, authors should obtain appropriate consent for publication where required.
Confidentiality and Privacy
Authors must take appropriate measures to protect the privacy and confidentiality of research participants. Personally identifiable information should not be included unless there is an appropriate ethical and legal basis and, where necessary, consent has been obtained.
Research Involving Animals
Research involving animals should comply with applicable institutional, national and international standards for the ethical treatment and welfare of animals.
Authors should provide information about relevant ethical approval and procedures where applicable.
Research Integrity
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their research has been conducted honestly and responsibly. Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, manipulation of data and other forms of research misconduct are not acceptable.
Author Responsibility
The authors are responsible for providing accurate information regarding ethical approval, informed consent and research permissions. The journal may request additional information or supporting documentation when necessary.
Editorial Consideration
IJMERT may request clarification or supporting documentation if concerns arise regarding ethical approval, consent, participant protection or research integrity.
