Publication Ethics

The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Engineering Research and Technology (IJMERT) is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics and research integrity. The journal expects authors, reviewers and editors to follow ethical practices throughout the submission, review and publication process.

 1. Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must ensure that their submitted work is original and has not been published previously or submitted simultaneously to another journal. All authors should have made a meaningful contribution to the research and must approve the final manuscript before submission.

Authors are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about their research. Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism and other forms of research misconduct are not acceptable.

 2. Originality and Plagiarism

Manuscripts submitted to IJMERT must contain original work. Authors must properly acknowledge and cite the sources of information, ideas, data and text used in their manuscript.

Plagiarism, including substantial copying, inappropriate reuse of previously published material and presenting another person's work as one's own, is unacceptable. Manuscripts may be screened for plagiarism when considered necessary.

3. Duplicate and Redundant Publication

Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time. Duplicate or substantially overlapping publications should be disclosed to the editor.

 4. Authorship

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the conception, design, research, analysis or interpretation of the work, or to the preparation and critical revision of the manuscript.

All listed authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission and publication.

 5. Conflict of Interest

Authors, reviewers and editors must disclose any financial, professional or personal interests that could influence the research, review or publication decision.

 6. Ethical Approval and Research Consent

Where research involves human participants, animals, personal data or other activities requiring ethical approval, authors must provide appropriate information regarding ethical approval, consent and relevant permissions.

 7. Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers should evaluate manuscripts objectively, fairly and confidentially. Reviewers must disclose any potential conflict of interest and should not use unpublished information obtained during the review process for personal or professional advantage.

 8. Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for making fair and impartial publication decisions based on the academic quality, originality, relevance and methodological soundness of submitted manuscripts.

Editors must maintain confidentiality during the editorial and peer review process and should not use unpublished information for personal advantage.

 9. Research Misconduct

IJMERT does not accept fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, manipulation of data, inappropriate authorship practices or other forms of research misconduct.

Where concerns regarding research integrity arise, the journal may request clarification, supporting information or evidence from the authors and may take appropriate editorial action.

 10. Corrections and Retractions

If a significant error is identified after publication, the journal may publish an appropriate correction or other editorial notice. Articles may be retracted when serious errors, research misconduct or other circumstances substantially affect the reliability or integrity of the published work.

 11. Ethical Publication Practices

IJMERT aims to maintain transparency, fairness and integrity throughout the editorial and publication process. The journal encourages authors, reviewers and editors to communicate responsibly and to uphold accepted standards of scholarly publishing.

Any ethical concern related to a submitted or published manuscript may be brought to the attention of the journal for appropriate consideration.
